Statehouse/Harborside has installed the new MegaDrive lighting system from California Lightworks in their flagship greenhouse in Salinas, California.
Harborside was one of the early pioneers in commercial cannabis in California. Harborside has a long history of advocacy for cannabis in California and is one of the first commercial scale licensees. In 2020, Harborside changed its name to Statehouse after a merger with three other California Cannabis pioneers, LoudPack, UrbanLeaf and Sublime. This created one of the largest integrated cannabis companies in California.
Harborside has five acres of greenhouse cultivation in Salinas, California and they currently handle all cultivation for the Statehouse group. The flagship greenhouse is a purpose built 50,000 square foot Venlo greenhouse, which represents the state of the art in greenhouse cannabis cultivation. The selection of California Lightwork’s Megadrive lighting system completes the latest round of enhancements which had greatly increased yield and quality at Harborside.
The new MegaDrive system from California Lightworks is the first major installation of the new smaller power supply version of the industry leading MegaDrive LED system. The original MegaDrive system was based on a 10,000-watt remote power supply which ran up to 27 400-watt fixtures. The new smaller power supply is based on 3,000 watts and will run up to 8 400-watt fixtures. This offer more flexibility in lighting layouts and is a perfect option for replacing existing HPS lighting systems with existing wiring.
The MegaDrive system is purpose built for greenhouses with its reduced shadow effect, remote drivers, spectrum control and included electrical cables, connectors and hanging hardware. This system drastically reduces installation costs, increases reliability, and offers superior controllability.
The MegaDrive Linear 400 system is an excellent addition to any indoor grow operation.
