Green Vibe is one of several cannabis cultivation greenhouses in the Salinas Valley, which is part of one the largest cannabis cultivation groups in California, with close to one million square feet under cultivation. Unlike many large growers who started in cannabis or raised money in cannabis stocks, Green Vibe grew out of traditional agricultural and expanded into cannabis in a big way. This has made them much more cost conscious and focused on the bottom line than most cannabis grow operations. This has also made them much more consistent in their expansion and reaction to market trends. This has produced one of the strongest cannabis cultivation groups in California.
Their first venture into cannabis came Wave Rider, a 235,000 square foot greenhouse in Salinas California. Wave River was originally split between nursery and flower operations but has since equipped the entire facility with advanced lighting from California Lightworks to focus exclusively on flowering. This was one of the first greenhouse facilities based on the Megadrive central power supply designs which has since become the standard in integrated greenhouse lighting for cannabis. Wave Rider has developed into one of the most productive cannabis flowering operations in California.
Next comes Green Vibe, also in Salinas, a 225,000 square foot greenhouse facility, totally dedicated to flowering. Green Vibe was originally comprised of three existing greenhouses which were totally renovated, including raising the gutter height and all new equipment. Two new state or the art greenhouses were then built to complete the current five active flowering operations. This renovation also included the addition of over 17,000 high power MegaDrive LED fixtures from California Lightworks. This is now a state-of-the-art facility which flowers in over 250,000 square feet with only 20 employees.
The current Green Vibe renovation, while very impressive, did encounter its share of delays and changes in direction. The main obstacle has been getting power from the local utility, PG&E. Despite multiple promises and over three years in delays, the power was never delivered. This has required temporary portable generators and Green Vibe has now decided to go with a permanent co-gen solution. This has resolved the energy delays and has also made significant savings in energy costs.
Recently, Green Vibe has acquired the existing greenhouse directly adjacent to Wave Rider in Salinas (formerly Lowells). This is an active cannabis greenhouse that has been in operation for several years and will be the third exclusive flowering greenhouse and is 250,000 square feet. This new addition to Green Vibe is currently equipped with HPS lighting but will also be converting to LED lighting. This brings the group to close one million square feet in total in dedicated cannabis cultivation.
The MegaDrive Linear 400 system is an excellent addition to any indoor grow operation. It offers features and flexibility not typically seen in LED fixtures, allowing for greater spectrum control from its easy-to-use app. Eliminating the need for power drops, it drastically lowers installation costs as well as getting rid of unnecessary complications that can result from individual power supplies on the back of each fixture, including those that are caused by humidity and other potential contaminants.
Even better, California LightWorks makes delivery and installation easier than ever, so you can start experiencing the powerful benefits of this system. Every MegaDrive system is custom-designed and computer-simulated to ensure the lighting will work as expected upon delivery. You can rest assured that all of your components will come simultaneously to allow for easy and fast installation so you can quickly get back to your normal operation.
