What is Light Bleaching?

When light radiation is too intense for plants, the chloroplasts turn white, causing the leaves to appear bleached. This damage is known as “light bleaching,” and it is irreversible.

How Can You Prevent Light Bleaching?

Light bleaching occurs when grow lights are hung too close to the canopy. Growers can easily avoid bleaching by paying close attention to the manufacturer’s specifications for hanging heights. The time it takes to conduct extra research and calculations while setting up your lighting system is well worth the long-term health of your crop.
