What is Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)?

The noise and interference generated by devices with electrical component is known as “electromagnetic interference,” or “EMI.”

Is EMI Regulated?

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) does regulate EMI levels from high-frequency devices. Even with regulation, however, there will always be some amount of EMI associated with any electronic product. And because nearly any device you could use will most likely be used in the presence of other devices, most electronics are engineered to function properly in the presence of some EMI.
