What is a Capacitor?

A primary component of an HID lighting ballast, a capacitor is an electronic device capable of storing electrical charge.

Is a Capacitor Dangerous?

A trained technician knows how to discharge that stored electricity safely. If you do not, don’t take it upon yourself to examine a faulty ballast.
